Is the licensing fee "per company" as XOA, or are there limits about the number of pools, as I am using only small pools.
I am just doing some tests on Continuous Replication and found a strange problem.
Replicate a VM to another pool every minute.
Keep 5 versions on destination
The job is running fine, but it does not keep the 5 LATEST snapshots. The latest snapshot is always replaced, but the 4 "older" ones are not rotated.
--> Copy Retention leads to: Keep the first 4 snapshots, since the first replication and the latest snapshot
Can you give me a hint on how to solve this?
Update: I am using xo-server 5.21.0
This also works faster if you use CR (which is DR but exporting only a differential to a destination SR, that can be on any pool)
The big difference for me is:
--> My Storage at destination can hold snapshots --> I can also recover an older snapshot with the DR-feature, if I mount an older storage-snapshot.
--> The replication of my storage can work with compression.
--> Can only keep the latest snapshot
Continuous Replication is an interesting feature, but at the moment, I can only keep the "latest" version of the VM.
Do you have any plans to give the ability to keep multiple versions?
Thank you and best wishes
I am really interested in XOSAN, but there are very few informations available at the moment.
The most important thing is:
Some other questions:
Thank you and best wishes,
Thank you. I really like that feature, but at the moment, I will set it up with Xencenter.
One example on how to use it:
I replicate my storage hourly to another location and archive snapthots there. The DR-functionality of Xenserver gives me the possibility to:
That is very comfortable.
I am searching for a possiblity to see the logs of my Hosts in one tab.
XO shows the logs of every single host, if I click on the host, but I was not able to find an overview with all the logs.
Does something like this exist? Settings-Logs does only show the "task-logs".
